The Deutsche Automobil Treuhand GmbH (DAT) is a worldwide operating organization involved in vehicle data development and implementation of software and services for the automotive and insurance claims processing industry. DAT develops and markets intelligent software solutions for vehicle identification, valuation, calculation, forecasts, and communication with insurances to improve the efficiency of workflows.
DAT is the world‘s oldest institution for automotive market research and has been active on the German market for over 80 years. Since 1995 DAT has also been operating on foreign markets with subsidiaries and sales partners in Europe and China.
Its founders and shareholders are the Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA: Verband der Automobilindustrie), the Association of International Motor Vehicle Manufacturers (VDIK: Verband der Internationalen Kraftfahrzeughersteller) and the German Federation for Motor Trades and Repairs (ZDK: Zentralverband Deutsches Kraftfahrzeuggewerbe).
The product range covers basically the complete life cycle of a car; from its purchase through financing, maintenance, accident and repair management until its remarketing or disposal . Our claim’s management tool “SilverDAT myClaim” allows all parties involved in a claim process to be connected through one common flexible and configurable online application. This tool offers special advantages for the insurance businesses, by enhancing its process efficiency and providing costs optimization.
