The Currency Exchange Fund offers its shareholders and their clients a previously unavailable source of currency hedging for longer tenors in frontier and emerging markets. TCX quotes its hedging products such as Fx Forward and Cross Currency Swaps in over 60 currencies worldwide.
TCX has hedged over USD 1,6 billion equivalent of loans in over 47 different currencies worldwide. More than half of this volume has serve to hedge the currency risk of microfinance institutions. Among TCX’s investors are the dedicated microfinance investors such as Oikocredit, Blue Orchard, ASN Novib/Oxfam Novib Funds, Triple Jump, Grameen Credit Agricole and major development finance institutions, including the EBRD, IFC, FMO, KfW, DEG, Proparco and BIO.
